Long bio
Roger Jæger was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He dropped out of college to move to India and study the sitar — a year that never really left his music. The sitar still sits in the room on his records, next to the acoustic guitar.
He spent the next eight years in Nashville writing songs and playing out, from the Bluebird Café to pubs across Ireland. His music has been heard on General Hospital, MTV, Discovery and NASCAR, and he has played colleges, breweries and festivals across the USA, the UK, Ireland, Australia and India, including SXSW 2023 and Springboard West 2024.
Home now is Redding, California, among the pines and waterfalls of the north state. That is where Wander came from: a season of slowing down, simplifying life, and believing that the best is yet to come. Wander (Deluxe) is out May 29, 2026, recorded with Mitch Dane at Sputnik Sound in Nashville.
